SURFACE FINISHING

Zinc Plating

Zinc plating improves the mechanical qualities of the components and, thanks to its ductility, makes shaping the underlying substrate easy.

Introduction

Zinc plating is an effective surface finishing method for ferrous materials that creates a smooth, dull gray surface by depositing a skinny coating of zinc on the part’s surface. Coating layer thickness ranges from 0.0125 mm to 0.0180 mm.The layer becomes highly corrosion resistive, protecting the substrate material even in extreme environments.

Zinc plating improves the mechanical qualities of the components and, thanks to its ductility, makes shaping the underlying substrate easy. Zinc plating is applicable for surface finishing of various parts in manufacturing, automotive, agriculture, hardware, and defense, where corrosion resistance is crucial.
